Old Habits

If I had any money today, this is what I would buy. It's an old habit of solving "problems". I was just thinking about Jay's bathroom and how much nicer the cabinet shelves would be if all of the clutter was gone and the bath towels matched (I took the nice ones). So my first purchase this morning would have been three of these for him:

And I could use a nice new handheld showerhead to make washing the dog easier. So, I found the perfect one online and just stared at it. I think that's progress...

Bag Obsession

I have an obsession with bags - not expensive $1000 Balenciaga bags, but cute useful tote bags. And this one hit me in all the right places. It's fighting world hunger for god's sake! I will not buy it, even though I want to. I'll just put it here for safe keeping.

Shopping for Entertainment

Something I like to do is browse design blogs. Many of these blogs feature items that are absolutely beautiful to look at and are usually very expensive. Now, this is just window shopping as well as admiring the work of many different artists. But, every now and then an affordable piece of clothing or a handbag or poster will be featured, and for some reason i convince myself that i have to have it. Not sure why. If i insist on admiring and browsing these blogs, i should do so without a credit card - damn PayPal!!! Thought i'd share some of my latest purchases. Unnecessary, but beautiful all the same:

Of the art/design blogs that I read, the one that I can always expect to see something new and helps me to appreciate good clean design is this one. Plus, she has amazing taste in shoes.
